“Smile. No sadness. Happiness.”

“Smile. No sadness. Happiness.”

That’s what a homeless man shouted at me as I walked out of Walmart tonight. He thought I was crying.

I wasn’t.

(Though I have cried leaving the Dufferin Mall Walmart before, due to…well due to it being the Dufferin Mall Walmart).

What appeared to this man as tears was actually the sanitizer I had just wiped on my face due to being stuck in line behind a family of spitty talkers with no sense of personal space.

My response?

“They were out of Plan B.”

Then I gave him $5.
