Bits & Pieces

3 05 2013

Happy Friday friends!

I am so looking forward to this weekend. The weather is supposed to be lovely, with temperatures in the low 20s and I’m going to see one of my favourite bands – The Lumineers – tonight. Tomorrow is May the 4th (be with you) and Sunday is cinco de mayo. I’m going to eat so many tacos on Sunday it’s going to be out of control.

Here are some bits and pieces that made my week:

  • A song to kick off your weekend.
  • This was all over Facebook this week, and it totally guessed my age – 23! (cough*30*cough).
  • This shouldn’t have made me laugh as hard as it did, but whatever. Sometimes acid trips are just funny. (?)
  • The income linked to the happiest marriages. It may surprise you!

Monday Playlist

22 04 2013

This playlist is inspired by my Saturday night sweat-a-thon. MM, Kiki and I hit up a Spice Girls-themed movie night and dance party hosted by She Does The City. We gathered at May on Dundas to watch Spice World (awful, truly awful – I had forgotten how awful) and that was followed by a packed and sweaty dance party and sing-a-long featuring songs from the Spice Girls and other 90s and early 2000s pop gems. Enjoy!

On Feeling Old

21 03 2013

I’ve just learned that 19 years ago this week, Ace of Base’s ‘The Sign’ was #1 on the charts.

Let me give you a moment to process that.

19.

19!!!

Fuck.
